5th Hacienda Tres Rios Sprint + Junior Triathlon
It’s that time again! In less than two weeks, some 500 athletes, mostly from the Yucatan Peninsula and large Mexican cities like Guadalajara, Monterrey and Mexico City, will swim, run and bike in the Mexican Caribbean and lush 326 acre Tres Rios Nature Park, which is home to 3 natural rivers, 10 cenotes (natural freshwater sinkholes), more than 120 species of plants and more than 90 species of animals.
There was a training session at Hacienda Tres Rios on Sunday for those who wanted to experience the route before the event.
New this year:
- This will be the 5th edition of the Hacienda Tres Rios Sprint + Junior Triathlon.
- We expect an additional 100 participants
- There will be a fair on the beach for participants and their families. Entertainment, food and sponsors’ products will be available.
- A large parking lot will be open across the highway from the resort.
- We have created an alternate route for hotel operations, thus ensuring that there are no vehicles circulating within the hotel during the event.
One of the things that makes this event really special, are the junior categories:
